Who this is for

Construction, renovation, fit-out, building services, roofing and façade contractors. Your sites, trades, project stages and customer agreements shape the system.

General contractors

You organise construction projects, coordinating subcontractors, stages, deliveries and customer handover.

Where your rules matter
  • A scope change affects the customer, estimate and several subcontractors. Each team needs to know which work is authorised.
  • The next stage depends on a ready work area, materials and acceptance of the previous stage, with a clear owner for any delay.
  • Handover issues belong to particular contractors and site zones. Stage closure may depend on corrected issues and a complete document set.

Renovation companies

You renovate rooms and buildings, coordinating material choices, changes and specialist trades.

Where your rules matter
  • Client choices can change during a project; each decision needs to update the estimate, purchases and work instructions.
  • Opening up the existing structure can reveal extra work. Its cost and effect on the schedule need approval before it joins the plan.
  • Customers need clear progress by room or stage, while teams need the dependencies between trades.

Fit-out contractors

You prepare commercial spaces around tenant requirements and the operating conditions of the building.

Where your rules matter
  • Tenant, designer and building manager decisions arrive separately; each needs a link to the space, drawing revision and agreed estimate.
  • Working hours, access permissions, deliveries and neighbouring systems determine which assignments are ready.
  • Opening a space depends on a particular set of checks and handovers, with outstanding obligations visible for each participant.

Building services contractors

You install building systems and coordinate their design, installation and testing stages.

Where your rules matter
  • Ventilation, electrical and other systems overlap; changes must reach the people responsible for dependent work areas.
  • Installation and tests need to follow the right zone and document revision, distinguishing installed, tested and accepted work.
  • Handover includes issues, as-built records and later servicing, with a shared history that continues after construction.

Roofing & facade contractors

You survey, build and repair roofs and façades, organising work by areas of the building.

Where your rules matter
  • Survey photographs, findings and the approved repair method need to stay attached to the relevant building area.
  • Weather, access and preparation can postpone a work area and change related assignments and customer updates.
  • Warranty requests need the materials, working conditions and acceptance records for the specific area concerned.

Built around how you work

Your rules for a ready stage

Define the drawings, materials, access and completed preceding work needed before a crew or subcontractor starts. Give each missing condition an owner.

Your rules for site changes

Agree how a change is recorded, assessed and authorised before affected work continues. Keep the decision connected to the estimate, materials, instructions and revised delivery date.

Your rules for acceptance

Set the checks, evidence and documents needed to accept each stage. Assign outstanding issues by contractor and area, with clear responsibility for confirming the correction.

Your rules for payments

Set deposits, milestone payments and settlement after accepted work. We can add payment collection and reminders, linking each due amount to the agreed stage, authorised changes and billing records.

Estimating, purchasing, project documents and accounting tools can be part of the plan. We assess how approved scope, material requirements, acceptance records and charges can move between the systems you use.

From workflow to working software

  1. Start with work your team knows

Tell us how a request moves through your business today, where people have to chase information and what happens when the plan changes. We help turn that into a clear brief. You do not need a technical specification.

  2. Agree a useful first version

Together, we define a complete workflow, the people involved, the rules and exceptions, and the result it needs to deliver. We agree how to measure improvement, such as extra work authorised before it starts, time waiting for readiness or approval, and the time needed to accept a stage.

  3. Review a prototype

Walk through a prototype using examples from your daily work. Check the normal case, missing inputs, changes and customer decisions, so the system reflects the situations your team actually handles.

  4. Launch and keep it running

We build, test and launch the agreed system, then provide the agreed ongoing maintenance and support. Data setup, connections to existing tools and the move into daily use are part of the launch plan.

  5. Change it as your business changes

New services, agreements, approval rules or ways of working can become agreed updates to the system. We clarify the change, assess its effect and agree the scope and price before adding new functionality.

Your brand. A direct connection.

Bring your business closer to your customers

Give customers a direct way to follow their project, make decisions and raise a request. almops can build your own app or portal connected to work on site.

Your own customer app

Offer an app under your brand for project updates, visits and customer requests. Keep photographs, questions and customer decisions connected to the right room, area or project stage.

A customer portal under your brand

Let authorised customer contacts review drawings, approve changes and view stage handover records in a web portal, with a different level of detail from your internal work instructions.

Questions

Can we keep our estimating and project tools?

Yes, we can scope a system around your existing tools. We check their data access and integration options before agreeing how estimates, documents, work records and accounting information will connect.

When does a system built around our business make sense?

It can help when your site readiness checks, subcontractor handovers, change approvals or acceptance rules repeatedly sit outside your existing tools. We assess that process with you and consider ready-made options before proposing a new system.

Do we need a technical specification or a complete replacement system?

You can start by describing one process and showing us how it works today. We ask questions and help define the requirements. A first version can cover one complete workflow, with further additions agreed separately.

Who looks after the system after launch?

AlmOps handles the agreed maintenance and support, and helps develop the system as your requirements change. Your proposal defines the service included and how later changes are handled.

Where is the system hosted and can we use our own server?

Hosting with AlmOps is the default. Deployment on your own infrastructure can be scoped as an additional paid option. We discuss data access, exports and operational requirements while defining the system.

How is pricing handled?

The aim is a predictable monthly payment for an agreed system and service. Your proposal sets out the amount, payment period, hosting, support and any initial charges. Later additions are scoped and priced separately.

Could we run and maintain our version independently later?

You can obtain non-exclusive rights to keep using and changing the paid-for version for your own business after the agreed main payment period or a one-off payment. The handover covers source code, a data export, operating instructions and the rights needed to run the software independently. Licence, handover, hosting and support terms are agreed in your contract.
