Custom software by subscription

No upfront development costs. Start with free discovery, then build, run and improve your product through one monthly plan.

Step 1 · Free discovery

Workflow Blueprint

Your first discovery is free and covers one core workflow with its supporting features. You receive a Blueprint and a prototype of the first version, and keep the outputs with no obligation to order development. Additional workflows and features are developed later under your monthly plan.

Tell us about your business in whatever format works for you, and upload files if useful. AI asks follow-up questions and suggests an initial set of features.

An AlmOps product expert reviews the proposal and may ask more questions through your client portal. You then receive a Blueprint and a prototype of the first version. Once you approve both and confirm the build, development begins.

What counts as an application?

An application is a separate workspace for the people using your software. By default, your first application includes the main workspace, such as a manager's dashboard, and the backend that runs it, ready for future integrations.

1 application · the starting point

Main application

A manager's workspace for day-to-day operations, decisions and reporting.

Backend included

The business logic and data behind the workspace, with access for future integrations.

Connect additional applications to the same backend

+1 application

Customer portal

A web workspace where customers submit requests, share documents and check progress.

+1 application

Field employee app

A mobile app for on-site tasks, checklists, photos and work updates.

+1 application

Customer app

A separate mobile app for your customers to access services and receive updates.

In this example: 1 main application + 3 additional applications = 4 applications. Each separate portal or app counts as one more application. The backend is included with the main application.

Mobile app publication is included

With Growth and Scale, we publish your mobile apps on the App Store and Google Play through AlmOps accounts. With Scale, publication through your own developer accounts is also available.

How monthly improvements work.

Tell us what your business needs next. We agree the result and size of each improvement, work through your priorities, then publish the changes as planned updates.

01 · Agree the work

Your improvement budget

Your plan includes an agreed monthly budget for improvements. Each request is sized in credits before work starts, so you can choose the changes that fit.

The agreed size covers building, testing and documenting the change. Larger requests are split into clear, separately agreed stages.

02 · Follow progress

What is a delivery lane?

One lane means one agreed improvement being built and tested at a time. More lanes let several improvements progress together; other requests wait in your priority queue.

When an improvement is ready for release, the next request can enter the lane. Your monthly budget still sets the total amount of work.

03 · Put changes to use

What is a release?

A release is a planned update that makes tested, approved changes available in your working system. One release can bring several improvements to one or more applications together.

Your plan sets the number of planned updates per month. Test previews do not use this allowance.

An example month after launch

6 credits. Three improvements. One update.

Illustrative example

  1. Add a request filter

    Find open requests by location.

    1 credit
  2. Add a customer notification

Email the customer when a request changes status.

    2 credits
  3. Add an approval step

Ask a manager to approve a request before work starts.

    3 credits

1 + 2 + 3 = 6 credits of agreed work

With one delivery lane, we build and test these improvements one after another.

One planned update

Once approved, the filter, notification and approval step go live together.

3 improvements → 1 release

These credit amounts illustrate how the model works. Your actual monthly allowance and the size of each request are agreed before work begins.

Agree before we build

The first version has a defined scope in your Blueprint. New requests and changes to agreed work are sized before implementation; extra scope needs your approval.

Fixes are part of our responsibility

Correcting defects in our agreed work does not use your improvement budget or planned update allowance.

One budget across your applications

The work budget, delivery lanes and planned updates apply to your subscription as a whole, across its included applications.

The essentials for a product that keeps improving.

Documentation

Keep requirements, product decisions and operating documentation current as the software evolves.

Testing

Test changes before each release to keep the product dependable.

Discovery for new features

Clarify new needs, explore options and agree priorities for the next improvements.

Commercial details

Questions about the model.

What is free, and when do we pay?

Free discovery includes requirements, a screen map and a clickable prototype. Your monthly plan covers development, hosting and ongoing improvement once you decide to proceed.

How do Blueprint revisions work?

Your initial Blueprint and prototype include one free round of changes. Before you subscribe, additional revision iterations cost €50 each. With an active subscription, these revisions are included in your plan's ongoing work, with no separate iteration fee. Once you approve both and confirm the build, development of the first version starts under your chosen monthly plan.

What does development support cover?

Development support covers new features, discovery and product roadmap discussions through tickets. Enterprise can include a dedicated manager.

Can you host and support the product on our servers?

Core and Growth run in the AlmOps cloud. Scale also supports hosting on your own servers. Enterprise hosting and support are agreed individually.

Is there a minimum term?

The subscription term, notice and transition support are agreed in the proposal. Launch is included in your chosen monthly plan and does not require a separate subscription.

What is an active delivery lane?

One agreed improvement being built and tested at a time. When it is ready for release, the next request can enter the lane. Your monthly improvement budget sets the total work included; your planned update allowance sets how often approved changes go live.

Are third-party services included?

Material cloud use, licences, messaging, AI APIs and specialist vendors are itemised transparently.

Can we bring the product in-house?

Yes. The source-code handover date depends on your subscription plan: Core after 3 years of subscription, Growth after 1 year, and Scale immediately. You receive non-exclusive rights to run and maintain your version independently. Data export, documentation and transition assistance are defined in the agreement.
